Japanese Language Proficiency Test
JLPT
The JLPT, also known as the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (日本語能力試験, Nihongo Nryoku Shiken), is a standardized exam created to evaluate and certify non-native speakers' fluency in the Japanese language. The JLPT is widely recognized and used for various purposes, including employment in Japan, admission to Japanese universities and language schools, and as a personal goal for learners of Japanese.
The test measures a person's proficiency with Japanese grammar and vocabulary as well as their reading, listening, and comprehension skills in the language. The JLPT is typically offered twice a year, in July and December, at test centers around the world.
JLPT Levels :
The JLPT has 5 levels, with N1 being the highest and N5 being the lowest. Each level reflects a particular degree of proficiency:
